74: Empower Yourself

believe in yourselfIn the laboratory of my existence, it seems that I have a default where the not believing in myself button is lit many more times than it’s friends, the belief and faith buttons. Just like a little mouse the more often I push the button of doubt the more often I get my puny reward of paralysis.

We all have days like this. Days of doubt, days of disappointment, days of challenges and difficulty. Days when we are challenged and feel unsure. Days when things don’t work out how you would like them to. On these days we want to creep under the covers pushing the world away only wishing to emerge when the sun shines.

So what to do? Here is my road map to help you through.

Accept what is happening, the more you struggle the more you will tangle. Each challenge is a thread of a beautiful tapestry that makes up your whole. If you pull out the thread you don’t approve of, the whole thing will unravel.

Trust in your own judgements and opinions. Believe in your inner voice of wisdom. Don’t allow someone else’s  narration to be bigger than yours.

Remind yourself constantly to keep yourself headed in the right direction, a few bumps in the road will then be just a minor hindrance in the bigger picture of your journey. Shine your headlights forward, focus on your goal, don’t be pulled out by minor discomfort or distractions.

Fuel yourself with your own capability rather than emptying the tank with what you think you are not capable of.

Life is a special journey filled with challenges and difficulties and within each moment of these you have to remember to keep believing in yourself. The challenges and roadblocks are there to help you find your footing within your dreams.

Practice for today: If you are experiencing some difficulty on your journey, empower yourself by seeing it as a small dot in a much large circle of your life. Empower yourself by turning your mistrust into belief, your fears into strength.

  1. This post couldn’t have come at a better time. I am truly at awe at your psychic abilities. 😉

Kidding aside… you often scare the beejeezus out of me! Thank you for the scare!! xo

  2. I think you should put all these gorgeous posts into a book. It would be great for so many to have it at their finger tips. It will fly off the shelves.

    • wow that’s a great thing to say and it has crossed my mind, a few other readers mentioned it. I have no idea how to do something like that though,if you have any ideas let me know. Have a great day wherever you are

      • I don’t absolutely know either, but I have a Miranda Kerr book which is very positive and just lovely. I imagine yours would be like it but even better. I shall bring it into class one day soon. I have been looking into E-books but yours in that and hard copy would be great I think.
